This guy was supposedly Secret Service or Capitol Police, and not a protestor. The shot came from down the hall that was inaccessible to the protestors.
I have no idea - just passing along what I heard. I expect things will become a bit clearer in the coming days. Hopefully the culprit will be found and dealt with accordingly.
