edit: I wasn't aware that Pence had to be impeached and can't be fired, and that a new VP would have to be affirmed by the Senate. However, could the insurrection act offer a shortcut to that process in extremis?

Just had an epiphany

What if the big plan is: they seat Biden, who then has to resign for "medical reasons" and then kamala picks Pence as her VP in the name of "unity" but really it's to shut up a bunch of right wing morons and to reward Pence for his work in the takeover ???

This just popped in my head with terrifying clarity
