Schumer ..., and Hoyer about the situation at the U.S. Capitol.' All those listed were present in the Capitol, it seems appropriate they should be contacted. Further, it doesn't say they discussed deploying the National Guard, it says they spoke to them about the situation. For all we know the Acting Sec of Def. and the Joint Chiefs Chair first spoke with Trump BEFORE speaking with the others.
