President Trump did not order violence.
If we're being honest, there wasn't a lot of violence in DC today. Outside of the cops shooting an unarmed woman.
That said, the internet is absolutely glowing right now with people that want us gone, and we'd rather not let them achieve that.
We can celebrate/condemn/discuss what has happened today, but this isn't the place to be organizing, or calling directly for, violence of any sort. Places to do that are easy to find.
I know this isn't what you want to hear. If I'm being honest it's not exactly what I want to say, but we're at a crossroads where we either continue to follow the President's lead, as we have always done - or we decide we know best. If you remember Alabama, that didn't work so well last time.
Something big did happen today. A very small group of people made a very large message. Today was a good reminder to our leaders, and to us.
It isn't the end, it's the beginning.

Just want to say. I've not been here long, account-wise, but I've been reading since a little after the Redxodus, and I've been in this movement since GG began.
I'm done. What I saw today, from all parties, was enough for me. The admins and mods can follow Trump. Anyone who still trusts him can as well. I'm done following and done hoping.
When those people were in the capital, it was the peak for me, and dropped so suddenly after it. I thought we were on the verge of something historic. Then, it all fell apart, and I know for a fact we'll never reach that height again. That was as close as we will ever get to fixing this.
I will agree with anyone who calls me a doomer at this point, but I don't see where this goes from here. I tried. I can't keep trying. I can't keep hoping. There's nothing left to hope for.
I'm done with this account and done following politics. I've made up my mind I'm going to spend the next months planning to leave for somewhere in Asia. It's not the future I wanted, but it's the one I can attain.
