Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hatred cannot drive out hatred, only love can do that.
Violence will only create more cycles of violence and suffering. Be like Trump and Pence, and disavow violence.

This whole concept is flawed.
Love and hatred are important parts of being human. They are both very powerful emotions. You should never reject your emotions, but you should never give in to them either. You have to recognize them both and try your best to master them.
Sometimes violence is a necessary course of action. Violence is never romantic and it always has unintended consequences. But there is evil in the world, and sometimes evil will not die without a fight.
