Pede, this is true. I was listening to a minister talking about this two days ago. He was talking about all the prophetic ministries who were taking political stands. I do think this minister is based, but he doesn't talk politics. He did say that he felt 2021 would be very dark for this reason. And then he discussed having faith in God as the ultimate authority. My father's ancestors were poor farmers who came to this country for religious freedom. My maternal grandfather was murdered by a banana republic dictator. Ultimately, we need to seek freedom in our soul, be in the world and not of the world. With God, we will survive.

I understand your thinking, and agree with almost all of it.

This is a time of trial, but I have found my faith growing and my walk with God closer than it has been in a long time. I am at peace with whatever happens, but I believe one of our mandates from God is to pursue justice.

I am just one. We are many. Together we may be able to move the country closer to justice.

It may be futile. I will still try.
