as a former combat medic you can apply pressure try to stem the blood loss, make sure the airway wasn't compromised. The brain can go a few mins without oxygen, any longer will lead to long term brain damage. Every second counts, if they acted sooner it will extend her life long enough for her to receive treatment.

I would be scrambling in my bag for my foil coffee packet, empty it and use my gum and that immediate with pressure.. and not let her be moved til real medic arrives!

But I didnt go. Even with finance I feared antifa shenanigans. If last child was out of house I would take the risk. I had a good life. (1988-2007 US Army. I also took combat lifesaving course and started 4th MOS as 68W before my youngest became too ill)

WTF. Do tell how you got a vascular surgeon to the field within a "few mins" for a blown-out neck. Fuck off. And thank you for your service!
