Ya know it does remind me a bit of the fall of the Roman republic. The last four years or so are probably the Sulla-Marius conflict and we are trending quickly towards Caesar and the death rattle of the republic. It also feels a bit like France in 1789 in a way - radicalized newspaper; cult of personality for dem leaders, etc. terror shall rule the day. Stay frosty boys and gals.
