West Central and up through the panhandle are probably the most conservative areas and pretty cheap but basically rural is your friend. Cities suck. Same as everywhere else.
If Texas secedes, they should just get rid of the registered Democrats and toss them into the nearest blue state so that the same thing doesn't happen again.
It’s not just the big panhandle cities. All the cities/towns have their own corrupt system in place. It’s just not near as malignant as in the larger cities. Amarillo wants to be austin, Amarillo and Lubbock have large college age populations and too many people in the M/O area only care about the oilfield. As long as the money is coming in and they can buy their toys and take their vacations, they don’t care about how the local government works.

Exactly. I can deal with the urban and suburban GOP but I’d probably be run out of town in the rural areas.
