If that many people HAD been violent, Washington would be nothing more than a smoking wasteland by now. This whole thing started when someone dressed like a cop, reached over the barricade and punched a Trump supporter. That is when the protesters pushed back the barricades.
As to entering the Capitol Building, has anyone seen those doors? Not only are they bronze but they also have giant magnets holding them shut. See the upper left of the door frame and look for a metal rectangle about 12 inches by 4 inches.. They are locked electronically. Someone let these people into the building. I ran security access systems like this for 15 years and I can tell you no one would be able to breach those doors without explosives. Someone opened the door and let them in. I guarantee it.
