Most in congress were afraid. I was watching them in the morning object to the votes, and pelosi along with some of the republicans that objected looked really nervous. They knew some shit was gonna go down
It wasn't just her. Most of the people there were nervous. Trust me, they knew this was gonna happen. I think both sides knew. Something tells me Trump wanted this to happen for a reason. He told his supporters to march to the capital building. With a crowd that size, he had to at least assume there would be some instigators. He even re-tweeted for his supporters to wear body cams. Where we go from here I don't know
I would argue hes a traitor more than a coward. You can argue that maybe he wanted to do the right thing but didnt, i can totally see him being a deep state plant that was playing nice with Trump as long as he would side with the deep state when it mattered.
