Why would the Deep Staters in Congress be trying to remove a president whose term ends in two weeks? Why bother? Because they are terrified that he will do something to the thwart their plans within that small timeframe, meaning they know that he has powerful cards he has not yet used.

I think it's simpler than that - they're trying to remove him because he won and should not be leaving in two weeks...
To humiliate him and destroy his legacy.
Trump has no cards. If he had any card he would have played that in November.
Sure. Makes sense. The question remains, what are those cards, will he play them, and have they expired in its effectiveness? Seems like he is pretty isolated now. The congress is going to certify Biden. Does Trump have enough horsepower in the constitution to get this done? Unless something seriously happens tomorrow to turn the tide on this BS, it might not happen.
Trump's Executive Order of January 5, 2021has buried in the top that we are in a state of national emergency. So he has declared one, without issuing a freestanding declaration. And national state of emergency gives him all kinds of special powers, signed into effect by multiple former presidents---both Bushes, Reagan, Clinton, and Oblahblah.
