Jesus Christ. Our Lord, our Savior, and our God. Let me draw some parallels for you here. For 30 pieces of silver Judas handed over the Son of Man to be crucified by the establishment and globalists of that day. The betrayal was unimaginable, and the treachery disgusting. The fix was in, the fate of Christ sealed as was prophesied about and fulfilled. And how did Jesus respond? In the garden He prayed that this cup might pass over him, that if there was ANY other way to avoid what was about to happen to Him, let it be done. Yet Jesus also said let it not be His will but the will of the Father in heaven. He was still arrested and handed over to the hands of evil men. On the cross Jesus cried out saying Father forgive them, they know not what they do. His disciples abandoned him, his followers fled from him, and on the hill Jesus died.
But the story doesn't end there.
On the third day He arose back to life and with that the authority of Heaven and Earth is now His. The sin of man has now been atoned for, the blood of the Lamb was shed and the sacrifice made, and Jesus Christ stands victorious over death. He will come back again riding on the clouds to judge the living and the dead. The ending has been written, and the line in the sand has been drawn. Those who repent of their sin, and place their trust in the atoning work of Christ will be saved and escape divine judgment from the Lord which we all rightfully deserve.
I, along with many others have been struggling to cope with the events of today, and as i've been praying I have been finding myself being reminded of what Jesus went through, and it is not dissimilar to how I and many of us feel right now. But we know that God is sovereign and is in control and ultimately we have our true eternal hope secured in the finished work of Jesus. I would be a fool to sugarcoat things. We could very well be in for some dark times ahead. I also don't necessarily believe there is a magic formula or plan that will get us out of this because at the end of the day our country will still be divided. I don't have the answer about what happens tomorrow or in the coming weeks/months/years. What i do know is that we have the answer about our eternal tomorrow, and that is more important. Christ is King, and NO one can thwart the purposes and will of God. His kingdom cannot be corrupted, or stolen or have rampant fraud. His righteousness surpasses anything that we can do. Pray for the safety and integrity of our country and values, but most importantly throw yourself at the throne of mercy and place your trust in God who has secured the ultimate victory.
What you wrote is awesome! Thank you for taking the time to share those words.
Times like these, sometimes you have to preach the gospel to yourself to remind yourself that we are heirs with Christ, though we suffer. It's a really bleak mindset otherwise placing our trust in man and worldly processes, and I was feeling that way much of today. but if it encourages others then praise God.
