What was the point of attempting to occupy a building you had absolutely no chance of ever holding?

Why are people acting like she was unlawfully executed? This would have happened to ANYONE attempting to get in; especially with what was going on. If this would had been any other day and morons attempted to enter, they would have been shot then too...
