It was a mostly peaceful protest but you've got the entire GOP condemning their own base for becoming passionate and peacefully protesting and adopting the dnc spi.. you've even got some in the media like Joe Pollack and John nolte as well as your regular turncoats like Ben Shapiro
it's not like it's the first time that the Capitol building was stormed.. in 2011 the teachers union did the same thing
It's a complicated situation because while what happened was relatively tame and the Trump supporters were -- for the most part -- peaceful, it was a terrible idea strategically. It hurt Trump and it hurt the few good GOP members that remain, putting many of them in an impossible situation.
Then again, part of me blames Trump for all of this, and the GOP is basically dead in my eyes, so I don't really care what they think at the moment. Maybe this will give them the chance to reflect on their miserable failures. I don't know.
I think the federal government is dead; a lost cause at this point. Long live the states.
