Another thing that I've heard is that the E-4B is a beast in terms of military capabilities, because it was built for a primarily military role. VC-25 is more of a public and diplomatic asset than a military one and is better suited for travelling, negotiating, MAGA rallies and so on. If Trump is to command the military, he'd better have the right tool for the job.
Makes sense, that lawsuit by Texas made a real call to Trump that they and their state government would be strong allies of the rightful leader in a time of crisis.
