Yep. That’s probably why he shot her. Someone hadn’t been evacuated yet. What doesn’t make sense to me is that when she goes down, there’s like 5 cops behind her. If whoever was behind those doors was so god damn important that the agent needed to shoot to kill, then why weren’t those cops doing their job and protecting that door?
Or they were sheltering in place. Police were on the outside of that hallway, in chaos, the SS guy was barricaded in the hallway, I’m sure with orders to shoot to kill if that door was breached.
Just wondering, in a democracy is anybody so important as to warrant deadly force being used against an unarmed woman ?
In any event, if there was a VIP sheltering, they had a shitload of time to bug out, so I'm thinking what we're seeing here is a extremely poor judgement call.
Be interesting to see if the Capitol cops union step up to the shooters defence.
Makes me wonder who is down that hall. Looks like a secret service agent.

No doubt. That’s how it appeared. I feel like the cops could have prevented it.
They probably knew the guy was in the hallway behind the door and had it covered, and they were trying to repel more people from coming up the stairs.
Should never be orders to kill a U.S. citizen, especially one that isn't armed.
Obama did away with that inconvenient custom
the cops abandoned the door when they got notice it was gonna be open season...you can see it in the full video
no reason he couldn't have gave a warning shot or some kind of verbal command

She breached the barrier.
If they had time to build a barricade they had enough time to evacuate the senators.
