Consider the possibility that he's doing his part to enact our winning strategy.
The simple/obvious path rarely turns out to be the successful one, when you're playing games like these with opponents like ours. Dems obviously saw this threat to their success coming, and they certainly had a plan to nullify the situation if Pence cockblocked them.
The winning strategy is REQUIRED to be so sneaky and revolutionary, that NO ONE would be able to see it coming. If us ordinary folk can guess the strategy, Dem operatives with 10000x more intel, experience, and resources would have seen it coming from a mile away, and created a contingency plan to nullify it.
More simply: It makes no sense, that Pence would sincerely do this, after all that's transpired these 5 years. Makes much more sense to suggest he might make such an apparently counterintuitive action as this, for the benefit of the real (secret) strategy.
I'm giving it until at least inauguration day to decide whether or not he's a traitor. Don't understand why so many others can't wait for that. Makes virtually no difference, as all the legal options have disappeared. Illegal options are always an option.

I considered this possibility too, that Mike Pence almost might just be playing along because if he overtly decided to just show his cards in front of Congress during the count, then Congress would all just call for his impeachment right then and there.
But the ultra mega doomer in me obviously is saying no; at this point it really is just most likely a futile shot in the dark. Maybe it is true. It's not in the realm of impossibility obviously but neither is getting struck by lightning.
