You can't have it both ways. Either the swamp knew the threat so they removed the hard drives, or the hard drives were removed by Trump loyalists. Either way, your "never going to get them" quote is incorrect.
Pictures of Pelosi's office were given to a blue checkmark, and then information that hard drives were taken. Someone had to go in there intentionally for that. Who carries around a screwdriver to remove hard drives?
The point I was making is that there is no reason to think we would go in and grab hard drives and someone would need to stop us. Someone used the chaos as an opportunity to take hard drives owned by a bunch of politicians, including Pelosi. For all we know, the chaos was allowed to proceed specifically to get these hard drives.
That seems pretty thin to me. Her office is less likely to be the place anything incriminating would be kept, and it's much easier (as the Awan brothers scandal shows) to access them either remotely or by working on site.
