Problem is - they had time to modify their speeches based on what? No one emerged from under their desks in the chamber with accurate facts.
So my unfortunate conclusion is that in a time of crisis, some of our most elevated congresspeople are literally only capable of doing what the TV tells them.
I agree with your response as well. I think they should’ve held off, like Ted Cruz said, for 10 days. They basically voted in distress. Which in court of law is grounds for dismissal... just like what happened in Michigan with the back-and-forth Certifications
