Sure. Maybe give Snowden a qualified pardon or see if they can work out a deal. Snowden has repeatedly said he would prefer to return to the States and face a fair trial (but that was not on the table). If you’re not allowed to present all the relevant evidence for your defense and in the lawyer’s appeal to the jurors (cause Secrets) then it’s a show trial farce.
This seems to be an enduring confusion. Assange was fighting extradition to the U.S. and when Trump pardons him then it’s moot. He was in custody because of our government. He had the audacity to expose US misdeeds (what real journalists used to do) and cross the Democrats. Recall Podesta mocking Assange by flaunting some bourgeoisie pretentious food?
So the pardon would at least for now mean the man could have time with his family. Maybe decide if he is up to resuming his work or just enjoy whatever time he has left as a family man. It’s highly probable the spiteful intelligence services would still come after him, but at least somebody would have stood up for free speech.
Pardon Snowden, pardon Assange, pardon them all.

I agree that he should be pardoned, but considering a UK judge ruled against any extradition then it wouldn't accomplish much anyway.

That extradition only applies to the UK, any other US ally could jail and extradite him.
