Not doing any "told you so" thing, but I was noting that Pence would never back Trump for weeks now.
It is still hard to believe that Pence pulled some crap like an elbow bump with Pelosi. It is reminiscent of Graham doing a fist bump with Kamala Harris shortly after Nov. 3.
Pence was foisted on Trump as the price for establishment backing in the 2016 elections. Trump shares part of the blame for surrounding himself with snakes, but at the same time, the snakes demanded only certain cabinet picks and establishment politicians, or they would refuse to do business with Trump. The populist politics we wanted had no footing in the Washington power center, which made it impossible for Trump to draw on the staff and resources he needed to move forward his agenda.
Some Republican senators stood with Trump when it came down the electoral challenge and many House Republicans did. That is a start for our movement, even if some of these politicians aren't perfect.
Hawley failed us on the immigration visas vote, and Cruz is not the most reliable of politicians, but they are what we have to work with, assuming a political solution is even going to be possible going forward.
Where is the godamn DNI report? Why can’t they just fucking say, yes the data went overseas. Or no it didn’t?
And if it didn’t, that would be obvious right? The only reason that info isn’t out is because it’s bad. What is military intelligence doing right now? Why even have them?
