In the early days of our nation members of the House had only tiny little desks on the chamber floor to use as their offices, so they would meet with their constituents in the Speaker's Lobby to resolve conflicts and forge deals. This is the origin of the term "lobbying". That hallway is the historical interface between we, the people, and our elected representatives. This is where Ashli Babbit and the other protesters were trying to enter in order to exercise their God-given and Constitutionally-protected right to petition their government for redress of grievances (whether those complaints have merit is of absolutely no relevance.) And their government's response, instead of meeting with them to hammer out their differences, was to shoot them on sight. Think about that. We are no longer a government of the people, by the people, or for the people. They have established themselves as a government over the people. When the Marxists said they were willing to win "by any means necessary" they weren't talking about Minecraft.

Amen.
