Like many of you, I was watching the debates on one screen, and the multiple live streams on another. I'll never forget - because I had never watched Portland Andy before, but he had all of the live streams set up, and a really annoying amount of popups.
I was watching as it was announced that Pence betrayed the first offer to get states to clarify, and proceeded with the count. We were watching the betrayal first hand - Lin Wood warned us, as did a few others, but it seemed so out there that it was tough to comprehend. This was crazy talk. Just 24 hours prior, Trump had put out a tweet or statement that it was all fake news - Pence and him were in lockstep and he was going to do the right thing... but then the tone changed during Trump's speech earlier yesterday morning.
And thus, the flashpoint.
We've been told to sit down and shut up for the last four years, while they investigate, cancel, and harass us. We've been jailed and sued for defending ourselves, our property, our families while the elites get to enjoy that safety and security. We've watched as they've tarnished Trump at every angle, accusing him of everything imaginable, while the person they champion has every evil thing attached to them that they accuse of us.
We've been sold a bill of goods that rioting for a just cause is permitted, and even encouraged in the media if you want to make your voice heard. So off the troops went, marching to capital hill to make their voices heard.
I cheered as they made their way to the front doors, seemingly overwhelming security forces to the point of exhausting and defeat. All of our legal challenges that fell on deaf ears and dismissed for the past 2 months were melting away; FINALLY, we would be taken seriously.
Then the report of a person shot.
I can't recall as I sit here if they cleared the chamber for the second time or not when it had happened. It all happened pretty quickly as things were unfolding, but I didn't think much of it when I first heard someone yell it out on the livestream, but I went to go check the twitter feeds and saw a hidden tweet reply to a thread. The OP's name was something that started with a T - Tyson, Trevor, something like that. It was posted just moments ago, and opening it - she was laying on the ground... stunned. Tough to know immediately if she was going to be okay. Help was immediately by her side, and we didn't get a good chance to see who shot, or where it came from, but I remember trying to watch a couple of times to get more info.
Then the Tucker monologue got posted later in the day. The chilling description of her final moments really seared what had happened into my brain. Then the second, more clear video was released of her getting shot came out. Then the third from the far left that shows the coward shooting her point blank, despite very little reason to be shooting - cops were seemingly following them up?
How did this happen?
Then, when the cowards resumed at 8pm, they took a round-robin opportunity to spit on her existence. 14-year AF veteran, married in the last year, and flew in from San Diego to answer Trump's call to be in DC and support democracy, and they want to denounce her and call her a domestic terrorist?
There better be some "shocking revelations that will shock the nation" (as Rudy claims) that will bring down the establishment. Sidney Powell was likely sidelined because her investigations brought her to many establishment republicans as well... I'm now just calling them all establishment. Fuck them all. V for Vendetta.
So yes, I watched multiple times. I think it's what people do when they are confused and trying to process. We'll get through this, but I hope Ashli didn't die in vain.
