Humans are herd animals. To varying degrees of consciousness, nearly everyone looks for social cues to determine how to think and feel about anything. Americans give a shit about what the media gives a shit about. That's why even actual Democracies are slaves to those who own the printing presses. It's also why those with an interest in enslaving societies have an interest in owning and centralizing the media. The media has so much power they can make people hate themselves. Even countries like NK recognize that a centralized press is a more effective weapon of control than any amount of bullets.

I'll never forget discussing the state of things with a friend of mine last year and I asked him straight up "Do you hate being...you? Hate being <NAME>?"

He paused for a few seconds like something just hit him and said "Yeah". I just shook my head in disbelief. We haven't talked since.

Covid is having me lose friendships too.... I can't believe their utter lack of intelligence. And they no longer want to me to remind how dumb they are, I guess. lol. My friend literally told me I was giving her anxiety by telling her to stop being afraid.

Same here...it’s really sad because I’ve reached out to my (ex)best friend who has been terrified of the coof. In some ways, people like her seems to WANT to be scared. She refuses to hear the other side of the fear mongering.

If there are facts that could give you information to alleviate your fears, wouldn’t you want to hear it? No, people just end up plugging their ears.
