Go to church, get land, get out of debt, get skills (building, gardening, animal care, cooking, medical/herbs, etc), stop being a consumer, start making and producing, research, and read.
Wendell Berry is an amazing farmer/philosopher who has written a lot about how the fall of America is tied to everyone leaving farms and gutting rural communities. "Unsettling of America" is a great one for starting.
Joel Salatin's website for Polyface Farms has a 'library/reading list' that is excellent.
This is the way. I just wish I knew where to even start.

Wendelly Berry! Yes! Unsettling of America is fantastic but...unsettling
I'll check out Joel Salatin's site. Thank you.
Thoughts on the best place to look for affordable land? I have the skills I just need the property.
