You have to research what kind of fruit trees and shrubs grow well in your agricultural zone or hardiness zone. It’s easy enough to go online and find a map of where you are. I’m planting 2 different kinds of apple trees right now that are both well-suited this area and are resistant to certain diseases that are prevalent in this area.I will be adding blueberry bushes soon. I have also planted muscadine vines and thornless blackberries. I recommend finding some kind of forum with like-minded people.

definitely going to....fresh blackberries are SO much better than store bought.

You have to fence the thornless. Their vines are yummy to most critters. You got any acreage?
