Twice in his speech yesterday, Trump said "It takes more courage for Mike to do nothing." At the time, I thought he was misspeaking, but he said it twice. I think he warned Pence of the coming actions, and Pence chose to side with the traitors. We'll see in the coming days if I'm wrong.

Even before the livestream switched to the capitol, the thing he said which said stuck out the most to me was he said something like "if they don't do the right thing, well then we'll be playing by a different set of rules"

Yup caught that too and immediately knew Lin was correct.

Yes! We gotta be patient. Lin's allegations are tight and strangely not contested by the accused. People immediately giving up on trump need to fuck off. Championship teams never give up, all the way until the clock stops(jan 20th)!

Read the statement again. It was very carefully worded. He never said it would be a transition of power. Just an "an orderly transition on January 20th." It can be interpreted either way. Mike Pompeo joked two months ago that there would be a smooth transition into a 2nd Trump Administration. You could compare Trump's statement to Pompeo's and they would not contradict each others.

I believe it’s too little, too late at this point. You don’t play by a different set of rules at the 11th hour. We got here precisely because we play by their rules expecting they’ll come around.

FlonaldGlump 56 points ago +57 / -1

That’s actually precisely when you do that, it just sucks having to sit there with your thumb up your ass waiting for it.

I’ve never waited for anything for four years. I’m glad it’s almost over. Wether we get our happening or not, I can’t wait to not have to wait any more.

have you not read Art of the Deal? Trump always allows people to redeem themselves. He always devises multiple ways for himself to come out on top.

We got here precisely because we play by their rules expecting they’ll come around.

WRONG. We played by THE rules, of the Constitution and the assumption of a free & fair election. Leftists did not play by those rules.

That's what disgusted me about every news outlet (from NewsMax to CNN) & politician yesterday. "Violence is never the answer", they said.

When the system breaks down, what options are left?

  • We tried to fairly elect a President, and got screwed.
  • We tried to validate the votes through signature verification and poll watchers, we got screwed.
  • We tried to present the evidence of fraudulent voting in the courts, we got screwed.
  • We tried to hold special sessions of state legislatures to review the evidence and decertify the edicts of the Governors. We got screwed.
  • We tried to object through our representatives in Congress, per the Constitutional process. We got screwed.

There are only two options left: bend the knee to this corruption, or violence. And only one of them is "the answer".

adameverton 3 points ago +3 / -0

Violence is never the answer, they say, unless violence is used by protesters they like advocating for causes they like.

I agree, BUT if he didn't try each and every last legal/constitutional route nobody would trust him. The people have to see openly that he really tired everything. Only then he can resort to the last escalation.

Trump isn't dumb, he had a feeling Pence would be a coward not do the right thing.

Remember Trump has plenty of experience at the top of the business world to read people like this very well.

I watched Robert Barnes' livestream with Viva Frei yesterday and he said that he's known for a while that Pence didn't have Trump's back, that Pence was the one who went to Ecuador to get Assange's arrest arranged, and that he's tried a few times behind the scenes to get Trump out in the past.

He also said that he heard in his meetings yesterday that the Pentagon was not going to send the national guard in to secure that capital building, but it was TRUMP who ordered the national guard to come in, not Pence.

Pierre_Delecto 15 points ago +15 / -0

So Pence sending them in was fake news?

Yes, that is the latest.

But, we are at war, so disinfo is extreme right now.

9
thekindlyman555 9 points ago +9 / -0

That's what Barnes says, and he was in meetings with the Trump team yesterday. Said he directly heard someone say Trump overturned the Pentagon's call to not send in the NG.

4
johnbillaby 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's bizarre that people here still fall for fake news with secret sources.

Things are going so fastthat One mind can't handle it all. We need each other to clear the fog.

2
adameverton 2 points ago +2 / -0

This never made sense as an official narrative. The Vice President has very little power other than breaking Senate ties and certifying electors. Pence has no power to call in the National Guard. The order has to come from either DefSec or Trump.

Is this the part where he turns to dust, leaving a Nazi insignia behind?

48
Mrsattorney 48 points ago +48 / -0

You're right. I thought it was strange when he said it, but Trump always gives people a chance to correct themselves when he knows they're going down the wrong path.

9
BoatingAccident 9 points ago +9 / -0

I was trying to understand why he said it at the time because I knew it wasn't a mistake.

5
IHeartMyDoggy 5 points ago +5 / -0

He also said something like “I’ve heard some bad things about him” when talking about Pence. I instantly thought about Lin Woods tweets

25
OGAmerica 25 points ago +25 / -0

I got that too... I was thinking “more courage to do nothing” so just don’t show up, don’t certify? Whatever, God bless America

adameverton 2 points ago +2 / -0

But remember Trump's statement from 1/5 when he said that Pence and him were on the same page? I think Pence told Trump he would do the right thing and then Trump found out right before he was going to take the stage on 1/6 that Pence was going to betray him. Pence sent his letter while Trump was on the stage.

12
MAGALogic 12 points ago +12 / -0

When President Trump says to someone or a group of people that they need to show courage he is implying they lack courage to start with!

President Trump knows.

12
MagaMita 12 points ago +12 / -0

Traitor Pence looked mad as hell. And his demeanor was like he's was large and in charge. Defiant.

10
TheMadManDidItAgain 10 points ago +11 / -1

When he said that, it was very thought provoking.... I wasn't sure what he meant by it.

Honestly, I still don't truly know.

9
Pootweet 9 points ago +9 / -0

What was in the envelope Pences' wife was given at the Bush funeral? Maybe that comes out because Mike didn't play ball, and those consequences could be dire, even life ending.

I caught that too and was confused

3
Dev404 3 points ago +3 / -0

I noticed that too and it sounded strange to me at the time. Under the context that Trump knew Pence was a snake, it makes sense now. Be bold and do the right thing or be bolder and face the consequences for betraying this country. I hope he's preparing what I'm thinking he is.

2
TH750 2 points ago +3 / -1

Or he was telling him to do nothing as in allow it to happen? Which is the hardest bc it makes pence look bad?

I dunno.

If nothing happens by the 20th I won't be shocked but man it would be awesomeeeee

I don't doubt he knew what was likely to happen and had some sort of contingency, but whether or not it's anything that can actually happen is another story.

1
cyber_saiyan 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is probably not a very popular point of view, but I'll lay it down here anyway.

I don't think Pence was a traitor. The VP technically can choose not to certify the votes, but that would easily paint a target on Trump being an authoritarian. Optics don't matter to most people here, but it does matter to regular folk and especially when foreign governments are involved.

So Trump had Pence not object to anything himself, and allowed the senators to commit high Treason on live TV in front of millions, with the media now being PROUD of it.

I think Trump intentionally worded that Pence would have to be "more brave" to not reject the votes, because that would lead the country down the rockier path, which is what he needs in order to cleanse the system. Every American can now see clear as day what has become of their government. Trump is a showman, and he will appear at the precise time when the clamoring is at its peak, when normal working class citizens are asking for Traitors to be hanged.

And imagine the looks on the faces of these vile people if it's Pence who starts reading off their indictments.

I said Pence would soon likely be executed for treason, banned from Twitter.

1
Space_Force_One 1 point ago +1 / -0

i thought i caught that he said that too. i thought it odd at the time because i was under the impression that trump wanted pence to do something, aka reject the electors from the contested states. but this makes it sound like he is saying it takes courage to do nothing, which is exactly what pence did, nothing......

Either Pence is swamp, which is hard to believe given his performance over the last 4 years, or this was a very carefully calculated MAGA move. We'll find out in 2 weeks, but I'm not ready to throw Pence fully under the bus just yet.

Scary part was, didn't he say that if Pence did the wrong thing that Biden would be president?

He better not have bet all his chips on Pence. Clearly he knew Pence was dirty.
