So after the events of this last few days, and if this course continues along its current path, I will be resigning my commission. I cannot in good conscience continue to play a role in defending this government. Nearly 14 years as a reservist...currently in a foreign country with them as I type, gone.
In no way do I look to influence the great men and women of the uniformed services who serve today. They will all have to reflect and decide for themselves. From what I have seen over the last several days the government of the people, by the people, for the people, has (nearly) perished from the earth.
I do so hope that we can fix the injustices (including outright murder) that have occurred here recently... and I would be the first to change my decision but we have been denied peaceful revolution, making violent revolution relatively inevitable.

I feel you. My first 8 years was under the last guy. These past four years have been the greatest of my career. I don’t see serving Joebama or Harris as something honorable or patriotic. I am uneasy about this fork in the road.
