In the Allegory of the Cave, many of the people resist being dragged out of the cave into the sunlight.
I don't want my family to perish before I have dragged them into the light. It's their choice to return into the cave, but I'm going to do everything in my power to bring them into sunlight.
As for my kids one day, I'm going to raise them in the sunlight as my parents thought they did for me. And I hope that if I one day end up in a cave, I'll be dragged out, too.
