Our system was originally setup so the states could secede if the federal government went rogue, which is the exact situation we have now. The Civil War kinda put the kibosh on that, but we're in entirely different times now, and Joe Biden is no Abraham Lincoln.
If some state governments had backbone, they could actually play this just a bit more intelligent though imho. They could essentially refuse to honor any federal law that violates the spirit of the constitution, and effectively put the feds in the position where they need to impose their will by force. The left is already doing this with immigration law, as well as some others, and the feds do jack shit. A union of states that did this would be even better.
We need governors and state congressional leaders with balls.
