The Rapture is an idea based in a few cryptic passages of scripture (Luke 17:34-36 for example), but it isn’t confirmed anywhere. I’ve always thought it would make sense for God to get His people out of the picture before unleashing judgment, but then again I’m only human and His thoughts are not my thoughts.

So God let's billions of humans throughout history get murdered by tyrants, dictators and thugs but this one time in history he's like "nah I'll spare you all". 🙄

Rapture always has come across to me as some evangelical type new age nonsense.

To me, the church grows the fastest during periods of persecution, so unless the rapture would save more people than the witness of martyrdom during the tribulation would. I don’t see why God would do it unless it benefited the ultimate goal of saving as many as possible. Pragmatically speaking anyways.
