My biggest of the last 5 years is realizing the CDC is a joke. The most prestigious agency ever and they use anecdotal and correlative data (which isn't accurate anymore) to "prove" that masks work to a decent degree.
There is not a single government agency that actually knows what the fuck they're doing, but all present themselves as golden.

Uh... no. He's the top ranking government official for infectious diseases. The 2 are NOT synonymous. They're not even the same category. 1 is about quality, the other is ranking.
Moreover, Thomas Sowell once made the best point about government agencies. They will always pretend like they are the best at what they do, as it tries to drive home the concept of their necessity and thereby continued salary.
