You're far too kind. They're not cowards. They're evil. Coward implies they know right from wrong and just don't have the spine to do the right thing. Evil means they just don't GAF.
I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but your'e probably right.

fuck the gop. after the swamp is drained we're forming a MAGA party. republicans have proven themselves time and time again to be spineless cucks. the ONLY thing theyre good for is letting us fuck their wives.
