No I completely agree, bad people should be punished for doing bad things - no matter how it looks.
For example.
We would never allow riots to go uncrushed for weeks and weeks because of election optics, would we?
We would never allow our republic to die without even trying any military options because we don’t want to look like dictators. Would we?
We wouldn’t allow four straight years of spying, stealing, lying, perjury, murder, to go completely 100% unpunished, would we? Tax fraud, tax evasion, campaign finance fraud, completely 100% without prosecution.
