King George telling colonies in 1776 not to be violent...had they listened we would still be the colonies.
You still are, and I'm growing suspicious hearing individual states refering to their 'commonwealth'.
I honestly and, always thought that was an empire phrase. Did not know united states hold that view, or use that language.
I’m in Texas, a republic that joined the union.
