All it takes is one governor saying you don't have to pay federal taxes and we don't recognize federal law. They do it with weed and other laws.
But lets be honest, secession is the best route.
It takes courage from Republican leadership though, which doesn't exist.

You mean have state governments without a federal government? Wouldn't that mean 50 different countries?
