That's the question isn't it? People fly and drive for thousands of miles. Spend their 600 dollar stimulus to get there because they can't work. The super super scary protest broke out from a very small percentage of people. Biden comes out after the capitol goes on lockdown and then Biden comes out and demands that Trump come out and tell his supporters to stand down.
A half hour later Trump comes out and says to "go home, be peaceful". After his supporters spent the money and time to get there. Then he goes on a blackout.
When the SCOTUS declined to take the case, that put a huge damper on his ability to articulate fraud in front of the court. Without having a court verify or uphold his positions, it was nothing more than a talking point which the media dismissed as "conspiracy theory" (same thing they always do).
I would agree. He was an hour late. The speech was essentially the same as the Monday night Georgia speech. Something was extremely off about it. He certainly telegraphed Pence would betray him.
He said he would never concede and asked patriots join him to go to the Capitol. I don’t think he ever went, that is what is troubling me. What did he think patriots would do when they got there? Most of the rally goers ended up on the west side.
I am shocked at the violent portrayal of those people: many were elderly, some with walkers and wheel chairs. Grandma and Grandpa, middle aged housewives from everywhere. Generations of families. Yes, some young people took an aggressive stance, but no one carried pipe bombs or tear gas.
The media is in high gear making them out to be more destructive than Antifa. Not true. The only graffiti I saw this morning was 1776 spray painted on a boarded up window. Nothing more.
The rally was to put pressure on the senators and Pence to dispute the election on the 6th. Earlier that day before Trump hit the stage, he obviously found out Pence was not going to dispute them. Which meant the cert of Biden and Harris was complete. It was the last stand, and at that moment him being there was pointless, his appearance spoke that in volumes.
I'm sure he was happy for them to storm Congress, there is nothing left he can do.
Have you just discovered that? The president is there to sign documents. You want power you need 100s of like-minded individuals in control of the house and the senate.

Texas v. Pennsylvania was, "the big one"

Then the Presidency of the U.S. is certainly not the most powerful job on earth.

It's only accomplishment was riling up the protesters right at that moment.
Trump stepped up to the Rubicon, then blinked.
That's all it is. This was a big game of chicken, as I've been saying for months.
He blinked first.
Because, when the criminal congresspeople left in a hurry, they left behind their laptops which were taken off their desks and handed to Trump.

How 'bout the "confirmation from Trump" now? Look, I'm just as upset as you but it's over, we're on our own. Best of luck to you fren.
