Listening to Trump's speech yesterday (live), I was surprised at the low-energy tone he took, even though he was his classic 'self'. His phrasing around hoping Pence would 'do the right thing' had this overall feeling that Pence sending back electors to the states in question was just not going to happen.

The whole idea is that Trump was counting on Pence to reject the certified votes by legislatures from states where there was significant fraud. This would give states a chance to take another look or allow legislatures to switch votes or completely toss those state's votes out so that it would go to the house. Don't shoot the messenger, but this is what people on here were assuming would happen for the last several weeks on this site.
