My experience with normies today though is they bought the narrative. Even if he can get the military to storm capital, not sure he’d be able to sell it to America.
If we took down the media (propaganda), normies would come around quickly. Here in Canada, we get a steaming pile of propaganda every day via the CBC. Trump lost, no evidence, he incites riots, his supporters should be shot ... it has many normies thinking Trump is the devil and that trump supports aren't even human.

Goldstein was controlled opposition, if he even existed. More likely a made-up honeypot. Something to coax potential dissidents into open defiance but in a way that posed no actual threat to the powers that be.
So libertarianism, basically ("Emmanuel Goldstein", aptly named for that comparison). What Trump started is real and very much a threat. We just need to make sure the fire keeps getting hotter.
The problem is not all of them are on here, or follow the right accounts on Twit (assuming those accounts are still allowed to post). If all they've seen about yesterday is the politician's and media's lies, they might actually think there was a violent protest that destroyed the Capitol Bldg. They have no idea there were hundreds of thousands peacefully wandering around DC. They don't know only a few actually went into the Capitol (or were let in), and didn't break anything but a couple windows while there. All they've been hearing is "violent insurrection" "we were in danger!" The total control they have of the media is a huge problem.
Even if the military were going to take over due to civilian government failure (which they have plans for if it’s needed) then they won’t do it for Trump or with Trump as commander in chief. They’d wait for him to be gone and then do it. But this would require very extreme failure of the sort that Egypt had with the ikhwan government. I don’t think we’re close to that yet.
But this wouldn’t be good because there’s no telling what they’d do until civilian government could be resumed.
Even though they used the protest to block Trump it was still a powerful show of how much support he has.
