The narrative of violence at the capital is clear, whether or not it was Trump supporters, or antifa agitators. This is not something the (most likely) outgoing Trump administration can battle. There is no spin that the MSM would accept around Antifa or agitators, and there is not enough time for Trump's team to control any spin after. This was the only way outside of insurrection. Not only that, if he attempted insurrection, he would surely lose his life. He would be impeached within days, and the power of the military would be firmly in Mike Pence's hands.
Trump has been an amazing fighter, and he did what he felt he could up until this point, but for those thinking he was going to lead the armed revolution against the deep state, we were mistaken. It's not surprising to me. He was a hero until it came to the real fight that is just too big for this time. The fight where the blood of patriots would be spilled.
I believe the White House and Trump are in save face mode. Trump wants to avoid impeachment, and he doesn't want the wrath of the establishment after he loses the protections of President. Trump has, accepted the loss in the battle for his second term.
Trump's admin has been the bane of the establishment's existence for 4 years. I saw some people mention they look like hostages. This is the most likely reality. Trump's family, those closest to Trump that didn't backstab are on the list are hostages. They have to bend the knee entirely. They might even be forced to swear away from politics forever.
