Their base is as creepy as the leaders. They are to snobby to want the likes of us in the party, except when they need money or votes. Most of them are just like Romney and they sat in their clubs and moaned about Trump and the trash he brought with him. Tough reality is that donations are given to people who are likely to win, so the rank and file congressmen and women are in for a hard time. Senators have more power but McConnell nearly lost his seat, so they may not be safe either. We need a party which represent middle America.
