Because they want to be in controlled opposition. The uniparty is back baby, or well, it never left and has been fighting Trump all this time.

Now they can do the bidding of the oligarchs and Wall Street instead of the American people.

They are stupid. The GOP has long forgotten what Communists do with "loyal opposition" or "useful idiots" they no longer need.
