The only way I can make it make sense is the angle of : "it must not be easy knowingly sign on fraudulent results, knowing the consequences of it." The potential legal consequences of treason and the consequences of 4 years of B&H. In a way, telling the truth is easier - you don't have to rationalize it and nothing to risk. Telling the truth about election fraud can make people call you crazy and a liar, but confirming fraudulent results can get you to prison or get you executed. And if he did it for 2024, well we all know how that's gonna go now.
