I sat at work today surrounded mostly by men in their 20s, 30s and 40s who did not watch for themselves anything that happened in D.C. as they are far more preoccupied with tv shows, sports, video games, music, etc and yet several of them had bold opinions about an event they hadn't bothered to see for themselves.

One of them insisted that there were no protesters, only "terrorists" and I asked how unarmed people including grandmas were terrorists. He insisted they were armed. I asked with what, what types of weapons did he SEE. He didn't know, he didn't watch. How did they get inside the building? He didn't know, he didn't watch.

Coworker 2 tries to intervene insisting that investigations into fraud wouldn't have made a difference anyway. This guy is 100% okay with himself and his girlfriend of 4 years getting vaccinated despite knowing the risks. It doesn't matter he just wants to watch football.

My one "based" coworker wouldn't make eye contact, he doesn't want anyone to know he ever supported Trump, I can practically feel him pleading with me in silence across the room not to ask him his opinion, which I didn't, not willing to betray his trust.

Again the protesters included women and the elderly. An older woman who was unarmed and a threat to nobody had her face smashed. An unarmed woman who peered into an open building that others had be let into was shot in the throat and bled to death. Meanwhile these "men" sitting around me were either virtue signaling or copping a "whatever who cares" attitude, or cowering with their eyes down.

The situation is dire y'all.
