I work with people to save their marriage. I see what happens to their children when they don’t. I’m going to tell you the opposite of what others are saying. Keep trying. Give yourself a week to feel like crap and be pissed at your husband, get a bit of space, then sit down with him and tell him that the two of you just can’t talk politics, that will have to be a subject for friends. That’s okay. Successful marriages do not require political alignment, rather commitment and love. Be above reproach, make the choice to forgive, keep going until you have tried everything twice, or until you know you will look back in five years with pride for the fight you put in to save your marriage. I am a Christian so perhaps my values are different, but that’s my advice.
I’ve been having problems with my wife too. She’s no PEDE.
