Maybe I'm just unaware of some social rule, but to give an example, BLM is a sick terrorist group, and I don't support any of their causes. But if they peacefully entered the Capitol Building I'd be like yeah ok? And? What's the problem? I never knew entering the building was considered bad or something. Tearing down statues, throwing bricks, and setting fire to cars is cool but walking into a public room is not?

I have a problem with destroying small businesses and terrorizing innocent people like BLM. Congress? Fuck em. They have like a 9% approval rating. You can't tell me most of America, even some libs, weren't secretly cheering our boys and girls on.
It’s total bullshit. Made up to entrap Trump.
To ensnare us all.
They know they were committing a crime and they were genuinely terrified that they were about to be dragged into the streets and hung from lamp posts. That is why the response is completely different than other times protesters have entered the Capitol.
The left wing anti Kavanaugh rioters never entered the capitol building, its sacred!! sacred I tell ya!
I do recall some ladies banging on some senators doors as well. Why didn't they get shot in the neck?
"ladies" lol
How many fuckers have heckled from the gallery over the years only to get kicked the fuck out over time? Hundreds I bet.
and not a single one killed.. fancy that
Before 9/11 you could randomly walk into the rotunda from the street.
I think most politicians shouldn't be allowed in.
At the very least, drug test them
And check any small children they've been atmround for signs of rape.
They defile everything they touch.
"temple of democracy", yah know, but shoot that unarmed veteran
COVID-19.
Prior to that the Capitol was open to all that went through the metal detectors, subject to certain restrictions (e.g. capacity, tickets to the gallery, etc.)
People interrupting Congressional speeches has frequently happened in the People's House.
The reaction to this is the ultimate curtain drop. Anyone who refers to the Capitol building as sacred ground is part of the establishment as far as I'm concerned.
The government belongs to the rich and powerful. You have meddled with the primal forces of nature and you will atone.
You're looking for consistency. That's irrelevant. This is a game of power. They made you look bad because they can. They made themselves look good because they can.
Since January 6th, 2021 - starting around 1:30pm eastern time
Left-wing protesters invaded the Senate during the Kavanaugh hearings and left behind millions in damage- can't find it on Google, have to use duckduckgo
At worst trespassing, which is not a capital offense last I checked.
Definitely broke windows to get in.
But otherwise very nondestructive.
