Since when is the Capitol Building some sacred place that protestors are not allowed to peacefully enter? I'm really asking. Since when was it bad to enter a government building?

Maybe I'm just unaware of some social rule, but to give an example, BLM is a sick terrorist group, and I don't support any of their causes. But if they peacefully entered the Capitol Building I'd be like yeah ok? And? What's the problem? I never knew entering the building was considered bad or something. Tearing down statues, throwing bricks, and setting fire to cars is cool but walking into a public room is not?

I do recall some ladies banging on some senators doors as well. Why didn't they get shot in the neck?
