it's a greenscreen and edges are hard to render. it was a low quality camera at least. i was a film student in a past life. some observations, because they definitely consider this stuff.

a low quality cam was used and it's a long shot. this is to unglorify trump and to dampen his personality and charisma. not sure but they may have used a weird lense too. something about the image reminds me of horror film shots i remember.

can't say if real or fake, but this is definitely an attempt, perhaps planned by trump or others to reduce him to a less charismatic character. someone may claim it is to emphasize the audio over the video, but regardless, his image and presence are intentionally reduced intentionally. this could be planned by trump, not saying someone is trying to make him look bad.

President Trump delivered two speeches that looks just like this a few weeks ago. One about China Virus and one about Election Fraud. I think those two speeches were used as the source material to make this composite. Those edges definitely look feathered and there are certain motions where the head and body are clearly moving on different layers. It’s common to see that in FX and composite work but it’s unheard of in anything recorded in camera.

We should also look to see how many of the lines he speaks in this video are taken from those previous two videos.

Exactly right. In those videos he looks superimposed on the background and he doesn’t look real. Not real at all. Deep fakes. I told my husband several weeks ago that those videos are not right and half jokingly (but really I am afraid for him) said I think they have him held hostage in the basement and they only let him out for preplanned events.

It may be a green screen, but every other video he's put out in the last few months has been accused of being filmed in front of a green screen also.

Well it goes beyond just the background. The neck and body are not the same! I don't even have an explanation for that. Why pop Trump's head/neck onto a different body (or a body of his from a different video) when you can just film him in a nice suit and podium doing the speech normally with a greenscreen background? They went to extra lengths to pop a new head onto an old body but... why?

Just a thought, monkeywerx and Lin and others have claimed that Trump left DC and he’s in Texas, so how could he have made a video at the White House if he wasn’t there? Maybe it’s to make it appear that he was there. His message yesterday was also recorded in front of a green screen too

My thought and my hope as well. I do note that the new administration does not contain the word Biden in it.

Exactly. And he did say yesterday- we will never concede. I think this video is just protecting us, putting the people first- to attempt to keep the left and the media from going full blown gestapo. He got too close to blowing the fraud wide open, and they’ll stop at nothing. I felt like this video was an attempt to placate them, while never uttering the new administration name

Because the body is the easy part and the head/face is the hard part. They would want to lock in the body first, motion track it, then “connect” the head to it on another layer. The body could be one continuous shot but the face would be a much more complex composite. The goal is to manipulate as little as possible, right? So if you had to keep the same body position every time he moves his mouth, and you’re pulling frames from all over, then the body is going to be jumping all around. But the face can be stabilized in place and the edges of it aren’t going to shift around the way arms and shoulders will. Then once the lips match the words, the stabilized face is reattached to the body.

Maybe you need a head you can edit directly to sync the lip movement? Just a guess. I have photoshop experience but not much with video.
