I think those two speeches were used as the source material to make this composite. Those edges definitely look feathered and there are certain motions where the head and body are clearly moving on different layers. It’s common to see that in FX and composite work but it’s unheard of in anything recorded in camera.

The body could be one continuous shot but the face would be a much more complex composite. The goal is to manipulate as little as possible, right? So if you had to keep the same body position every time he moves his mouth, and you’re pulling frames from all over, then the body is going to be jumping all around. But the face can be stabilized in place and the edges of it aren’t going to shift around the way arms and shoulders will. Then once the lips match the words, the stabilized face is reattached to the body.
